December Combined Training
The event on 23rd December at Rowallan was well subscribed in all classes. My work was cut out trying to allocate spaces to everyone and a waiting list ran for some time. I did my very best to accomodate most people however some people could not be fitted in. Unfortunately a number of people withdrew or did not show on the day which was ashame for them and for those on the waiting list. This was also very frustrating for me after being the bearer of bad news to those I could not allocate spaces to.
The day started promptly at 9am with me and my baby horse, Sesame, in the novice/novice SJ. It was a long day competing Ned and Sesame while also trying to keep a hand in helping. I did however manage to go out for dinner that night and have a few G&T's to wind down!

The SJ judges were; Irene Gillespie and Eleanor Pottinger. They did a fine job in the warm confines of the judges box.
Our dressage judges were; Aly Boswell, Glenys McKie, and Meron Reid. Many thanks to them for giving up their afternoon for us.
Also a huge thanks must go to all the competitors and helpers who transformed the arena between the SJ and dressage. The change over must have been done in record time. Huge thanks to everyone.
It was a long day, but everything ran smoothly.
