Sunday October 15th 2006 at Titwood Equestrian

A busy day at Titwood!

Thanks to Mugs for use of Titwood and to all our helpers who helped run the event.
The full results of the qualifier for the 2007 Hunter Trials are below:

Well a big thank you to everyone for a very successful day.
Mrs. Montgomerie had done a really wonderful job in the preparation of the course and facilities.  A truly  first class venue.
Lots of thanks to all who took time to help her in the build up to the competition. Lauren, David and Paul Jarvis, James Bennett, Rory Boswell and Fiona Rawson. Harry of Peak Photography who we forgot to tell the starting time and when he arrived at 9am was duly put to work setting up the signposting.
I would like to pay thanks to Stewart Christie our Senior Steward on the day ensuring the smooth running of the competition and taking time out to support the Riding club movement.   Vivienne McConechy once more pulled out all the Fence Judges who are so crucial to an event like this.  Ayr Riding Club is so grateful to Vivienne and all the Fence Judges for the sterling work.   No competition can get off the ground with out first class starters and timekeepers.   We were very lucky having Mr. & Mrs. Snodgrass and Mr. & Mrs. Paterson and Heather in charge.   Our commentator on the day was Douglas McPhail who mastered the art like a true professional after schooling himself on the Badminton Horse Trials tapes.  The back room team of Vicky Vernon, Kirsteen Watson and Will Cunningham who kept the information flowing.
There are many extra people who were there helping parking the lorries and trailers,  Kirstine Bissett and Kevin Watson,  Fiona Rawson, collecting ring steward,  Amanda Fergusson, Secretary.   The quad team of Stephen Mcgregor and Warren for the save collection and delivery of scores.   Adam Pawson and Kerrie Chalmers who collated all the scores and turned them out in double quick time.  The masters of the IT system.

Then the most important people of the day the competitors.   A very warm congratulations to everyone, particularly to the winners but also to those people who came and enjoyed themselves and achieved personal bests.
