Area 1 Team Show Jumping

Ayr sent a Novice Team and two individuals to the Area Qualifier at Jumps

Equestrian Centre on Sunday 21st July.

As usual, there was a huge turn out for the qualifier. After the first round Ayr were well placed, finishing on zero faults. The fences were raised and the second round proved much harder for the competitors. The winning team were South West of Scotland who finished on zero. Ayr completed the competition in 6th place on a score of 8 faults, second to fifth place teams having a final score of 4.

In the individual competition, Joanne and Tiffany finished on 4 and Kirstine and Razin-L's double clear took them forward to the timed jump-off (along with 18 other competitors) but were unlucky to clip the penultimate fence to finish in 7th place. Claire's horse Fantasia jumped bravely over the biggest course she had ever tackled to finish on zero, especially as the day before she had been placed Supreme Horse Champion and Reserve Champion at Dalrymple Show.
