What to wear? - Competitions - Show Jumping
These are additional rules that apply to Show Jumping:
Rider
- Spurs - with necks in excess of 3cms are not
to be worn
- Show Jumping Shirts are permitted
Horse
- Bits
- Senior competitors may use bitless bridles and Market Harboroughs
- Senior competitors may use bitless bridles and Market Harboroughs
- Martingales - standing, Irish or running martingales
permitted, standing only to the cavesson part of a noseband fitted above
the bit. Running martingales must have stops fitted to reins.
- Tongue Guards - properly made which are detatched
from reins are permitted
- Equitation Jumping:
- only running martingale permitted at penalty of 5 points
- only snaffle bridles may be used
- cavesson, flash or drop noseband only
